Wow, it's been forever since I've updated and ... well ... not much to say.

It's not like I've been busy, I think it's more like I've been in a coma. Or a fog. Or a hostage of my "eh-ness." Eh-ness? I think I just made a word up. Yeah me! I think I'll put a hash mark down and call that my achievement of the week.

I had my yearly review yesterday. Seems like just yesterday my co-worker bit the dust and created an opening here. (Hey, that sounded very insensitive, that's not like me ... second hash mark!)

In the past this have been dreaded and filled with not so inuendoed inuendos about how I could apply myself more. Now how they expected someone so bored with their job that dropping a book on her foot was an improvement, I don't know, but they did.

This years was different. New job, new supervisor (note, I am not calling him a stupervisor like others in the past.) It went something like this ...

*wiggling finger at me as I walked by his office in the universal "c'mere" motion*

"got time to look over your evaluation today?"

"um .... sure ...."

"don't worry, there's nothing bad in it."

"ok, sure, no problem ..."

"like can you read it, get right back to me, and we'll sign it because it's kind of due today ... I kept saying I got plllllllllenty of time and suddenly it was like "oh fuuuuu" it's due!"

"No problem! Let me know when it's ready!"

He gave me the written, I read it, said "cool" and we signed it. He showed me the "plays well with other sheet" which was marked in pencil and asked "look ok?" I said yes, he inked it in, we signed it and that was that.

The plays well with others sheet is 10 factors of our joint choice and you are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. Fail, barely meet, ok, better than ok, kick ass. I think I got all better than ok and a couple kick asses.

No discussion, no "hey, quit goofing off so much" or anything. Maybe because we share the same 30-something lack of motivation and subscribe to the theory of just flowing along.

Did I mention I love my boss?

I do.

He's a slacker to look up to!
