Positively
more of that reflecting back crap ...

I'm a little boy blue,
I'm the man on the moon.
I'm a bit freaked out
And a hair out of tune,
They tell me that
I might just lose it soon.

Ever put a cd in that you haven't listened to in forever and forgotten how much you loved a song? Over the weekend I pulled out Seven by Enuff Z'Nuff and as soon as the first song hit I was mellow and content. Not to mention having major flashbacks to my early 20s. I don't think that I ever did see them do Wheels live and now never will. It wouldn't be the same any how. We are all so much older.

Still, I love the feeling I get when I hear Donnie Vie's voice. Man that guy can sing. Just a beautiful voice. Shame he can't get off the drugs. You'd think the former guitarists over dose death would have slapped him straight. One can hope. He's a talent that is so highly under rated. If you click through some audio from the different albums, you'll find a lot better songs than what radio ever played. While Fly high Michelle is a kick ass song, it's not representative of their body of work.

Back in the beginning it was Donnie, Chip Z'Nuff, Vikki Foxx and Derek Frigo. I've been flat assed drunk with Chip. Vikki used to swear I had his phone number and never called him to hang out, which he didn't get because he "loves me to death!" Donnie and I once pissed Chip off because we were making fun of him during a set. After the show Donnie and I were talking about it and laughing our asses off when Chip came up and called us a few names including "fuckers." Chip "owed me his life" because he fell off the stage backwards once and I some how caught him and saved him from breaking his leg. That was the first time I ever saw them and he never forgot. Derek gave me my one and only joint (took one puff, grimaced, they all laughed their asses off and Derek gave me a beer instead.)

Then Vikki left (saw him once after that where he bear hugged me after a show much to a psycho friend's disgust. She rudely said "oh, I figured we'd never see YOU again" and he ripped her a new asshole, then saw me and screamed "oh my God, I never thought I'd see you again!" Oddly that friendship with psycho chick didn't last much longer after that.") and Ricky Parent came in. Ricky is cool. Sweet guy. He has cancer now.

Derek died in a gutter in California. He was in the process of dying from an overdose and managed to call 911 before collapsing off a curb. He and I didn't always get along, but still, what a shitty way to go.

Now Chip is carrying on with some mixture of a band, under the EZ name, Donnie is off some where, and times have changed so much. I've changed, they've changed, the world has drastically changed ...

but for a bit, in my car, with the stereo cranked up, everything is ok for a while.
