2005-03-07 9:03 a.m. Yesterday the "service engine soon" light came on in my car. My new car. The car that I've only made 2 payments on. I was oh so not amused. In fact I think I was refering to the things as "the hunk of fucking shit lemon I bought." This morning at the ass crack of dawn I called the service department where I bought it and the kind man asked me if I'd gotten gas recently. I told him no and he said that's the first thing they ask because some times the gas cap isn't completely on and the pressurization is lost and that sets off the sensor. Nope, no gas since last Monday. I made an appointment and went back to work. After about 20 minutes I decided to go check just in case. It was off. Apparently I'm an idiot, but my light wasn't telling me that. Well, it was, only in code. I called the service department back and another kind man said the light will go off on its own. Now comes the big problem. I called my car all kinds of names. I need to get him to forgive me. Sweet talk will not be enough. I'm predicting it's going to take a full wash, vacuum, and a new air freshener to undo the verbal abuse.
