There is a diary that I read, but not because it's a favorite, more like it's a train wreck type of thing with me. I have to go now and then and see what the idiot is spouting. More often than not I'm left thinking how thankful I am that I don't know him and I don't know anyone like him in person. It's like Jerry Springer's show to me, I read him to get my attitude re-aligned about how bad my life could be.

Basically he spews his red neck wisdom and then people respond with things like "gosh, that made me spit my mad dog all over my computer screen!" Today's wisdom is essentially about how single mothers are welfare sluts that should have had the common sense not to get knocked up in the first place and how his tax money shouldn't go to them.

While there are those who abuse the system and I do dislike hearing about how some one has 6 kids, is pregnant with a 7th, and is on welfare, that's not what really bothered me. What got me was how it was all the woman's fault. She spread her legs. She got pregnant. She stupidly brought a child into the world. She's using our tax money. She's raising a little gang banger hoodlum. She she she.

What about the father? Where is the moral outrage for a man who helps create a child but offers nothing towards supporting it? Where is the disgust and rage at someone who was there for only the conception? Oh wait, it's not his fault! She should have made sure he had a condom on. What was I thinking? We all know that it's a woman's full responsibility to stop unwanted pregnancies.

The sad thing is there are a lot of uneducated, narrow minded people who think like he does. I've never had a child, but the thought of trying to raise one alone, with no financial support from the father would be a daunting task. I can't imagine government assistance would have you living high on the hog either, but apparently some people think it does.

Keep in mind, I'm not talking about abusing the system here. Yes, there are women out there who need their tubes tied. Right next to them are these pro-created sperm donors who need snipping too. If you can't afford one child, don't be having more, no matter what sex you are. I am all for regulations and rules. That's not where my issue is.

It's all the woman's fault.

That's what gets me.

The system is fucked up. Welfare, child support, all that ... totally fucked up. Know what though? The commander in chief has always been a man. That's ultimately his responsibility right? Gee, guess that makes the fucked up system all a man's fault.
