Well, I thought I was done shopping until I realized we had stockings to fill. So I have a few more things, no big deal.

Yesterday I rushed home to go with M to his doctor appointment. He was going to get his knees looked at. Before we could go he had to show me this adoooooooooorable thing he saw on tv. The man needs work people. He actually said "they are so cute it's beyond words." Apparently daytime tv is turning him to the other team.

He proceeded to show me the blue print he made of this adorable little thing. Penguins. Not just penguins, but penguins made out of olives. He'd seen some news woman making these and decided that would be something we should try.

So we went to his doctor appointment where he learned his knees are shot and his right most likely is going to require surgery to clear a "goober" out as his ortho doc called it. It's either a chunk of bone or cartilage. Either way, he'll feel better if it's out. You'd have thought M would have been more freaked but instead when we left he was very relieved. Eventually he'll be a candidate for knee replacements but he's too young. I think just knowing he gets to keep his crappy knees was enough for him to hear.

After that it was off for olives and that is what we did right when we got home! Know what? They are so fucking cute you want to puke! Really, they are adorable like he said, easy to make, and tasty little things as well. We are going to make two fleets of them, one for his family, one for mine, complete with cheese ball igloo. Um, yep, igloo. The lady on tv made that too.

Honestly, it is fun making them together and we really laughed a lot. His family is going to be impressed that not only did he see this & want to make it, but that he helped. My family will be impressed yet think we are nuts. Oh wait, his family will think that too. But we are ....
